A great deal of care went into designing this beautiful wedding. I choose the word design here very deliberately because any guest that day would agree that the bride, Melissa, went above and beyond mere planning; each detail was chosen thoughtfully, curated with a sophisticated eye, and executed with finesse. Even the Spanish moss on the arbor — which was gorgeous, by the way — had special meaning. It was a day dreamt up to be just about as perfect as they come. And all in six months’ time.
I had a feeling, when I met Robert and Melissa, that this might be the case. They were just one month into wedding planning at the time and had already booked most of their vendors, could tangibly describe their vision for their wedding day, and seemed entirely in sync about the process. Their relationship felt playful, easy, and affectionate — a lovely recipe for beautiful photos, even for two who claim to be camera shy. Whether or not they agree, I think they’re as photogenic as they come…especially after a glass of good wine and a little coaching (wink). The proof lies in all the pretty that comes next — oh, and in their absurdly beautiful engagement photos, too. Enjoy! xo
